The Golden Foundation: Small Group Mentoring
Small group mentoring provides youth opportunities to make friends and build character through content based on the 40 developmental assets for youth. participants are paired with adult mentors who lead and facilitate intentional conversations to help youth participants grow and develop with structured support and guidance. More than Gold (5th-12th grade girls) Iron Roots (5th-12th grade boys)
Individual Mentoring
One-on-one mentoring relationships are created between a youth (ages 11-18) and a positive role model to help encourage, befriend, and walk through the journey of life with a role model, listening ear, and an additional support system outside of their family. Individual mentoring is an add-on program for youth involved in other programs within the organization.
Youth Drop In Center
Safe spaces for youth at the Southeast Irving Community Center, located at 1712 Carl Rd. Irving 75061. During the drop in center hours, snacks, games, quiet spaces, resource referrals, and arts/crafts are available to utilize.
Case Management
The case management program connects youth and their families to resources and assistance as needed to help them be sustainable, supported, and have an advocate on their team. Our LMSW Lead serves our youth and their families to connect needs in their homes such as mental health family therapy, food needs, financial assistance, job assistance, and goal progress to help them get “unstuck” from situations.
College & Career Readiness
The College and Career Readiness program connects high school students with information, best practices, and a mentor to explore, plan and prepare for college and career opportunities. Monthly presentations and check-ins with mentors will help the students walk through the steps from FAFSA, college tours, applications, scholarships, and more!
Youth Advisory Council
youth focused groups that give opportunities to these youth to problem solve, advocate, and be change makers in their community, school, and home. This is our strongest Youth- Adult Partnership which is led by youth, facilitated by adults.
“I can’t thank you all enough for all you do for my girls. They are great girls but need support beyond our family. They absolutely love coming and participating and I can see a transformation happening in them.”
